finkle is the alter ego of playwright Kenny Finkle.

His plays are published by Broadway Play Publishing. Indoor/Outdoor is also published in Smith and Kraus’ “Best Plays of 2006” anthology. Syd Arthur is published by Samuel French.
finkle has been developing at finkle factory a series of non-traditional theatrical works with music and visual art entitled HEART MUST RACE.
U R ★ is the first piece in the series. It has been developed with support from the Orchard Project and the American Repertory Theatre and received its world premiere at the A.R.T in fall 2016. In summer 2017 the piece was presented at Ars Nova.
1993 Melancholy, the 2nd piece in the series has been developed as part of Keen Company’s Playwrights Lab. Portions of the experience have been presented at Judson Church, Dixon Place, the Orchard Project, FEAST and Keen Company and has been supported through an NEA grant. Inspired by classic radio drama, the piece is an audio movie for audiences to listen to live with their eyes closed.
TOUCH, a triptych is the third piece in the series has been commissioned by the Dallas Theatre Center and is currently being developed there during the 18/19 and 19/20 seasons.
He is a recipient of a NYFA fellowship, a NYSCA grant, was awarded University of Illinois' Inner Voices prize and has received commissions from Ford's Theatre, Virginia Stage Company, Theatreworks, USA, Canton Theatricals, Matt Murphy Productions, Keen Company and the Hangar Theatre, among others.
He received his MFA from Columbia University's Playwriting program and his BFA from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. He is an Adjunct Professor of Theatre at Marymount Manhattan College. And has been a teaching artist for the DreamYard Project since 1999.
